Moonshine Charters is a boat charter business operating out of Eaglehawk Neck to fish the famous Tasman Peninsula waters from Late January to May and out of Southport from May to August to fish the renowned Pedra Branca Rocks.

A day with Moonshine Charters is more than just a fishing experience as it also showcases the majesty of the South East Tasmanian coastline and wildlife. View seabirds and seal colonies while game fishing for the renowned Southern Bluefin Tuna, Yellowfin Tuna, Albacore, Mako Sharks and occasional Striped Marlin.

We have a range of quality tackle available from 3 – 37 kg line class. Bluefin & Yellowfin captures in the past two seasons have been excellent. Moonshine anglers hold three Australian records for Yellowfin tuna capture alone.

When fishing from Eaglehawk Neck we suggest fishing for Mako sharks from January to March, Albacore and Yellowfin from late January to April and Bluefin March to May.

We can offer drop line fishing for Blue eye Trevalla for those who like to get in and be one of the crew, actively participating in the process of setting and retrieving the gear which is usually an extended days fishing.

In May we move to Southport to fish Pedra Branca Rocks in the nutrient rich waters of the Southern Ocean for Striped Trumpeter and fish of a lifetime the big Bluefin Tuna that can break men & gear !!
